I needed a last-minute haircut on a Monday morning, and picked Selena based on other clients’s reviews about how patient and kind she is. I am so glad that I did! Selena did a fabulous job creating a flattering haircut for my naturally curly hair (which is also my naturally frizzy hair)! I felt that the cut really framed my face well. Additionally, she shared maintenance techniques with me to help my curls to stay curly and try to avoid frizz. I was thrilled with how it turned out, and I will definitely be seeing Selena again for my next haircut.

Ryan at Gene Juarez Salon is truly something special — hands down a goddess of hairstyles. I came in with a few reference photos and some nerves from past experiences where my vision didn’t quite land. That disappeared almost immediately. Ryan’s consultation was so thoughtful and intuitive that I could tell right away she got it, not just the photos, but the overall vibe and what would actually work for me. Her energy and demeanor are incredibly grounding. She’s easy to talk to, and has that rare, authentic, and down-to-earth energy that instantly puts you at ease. Because I trusted her so fully, I was able to truly relax and enjoy the appointment, which almost never happens for me. She has a wonderful touch, puts you completely at ease, and styles hair in a way that feels both intentional and effortless. She styled my hair so beautifully that I honestly think it’s the best it’s ever looked. I can also already tell that when I shower and let it air dry like I normally do, it’s going to look just as good in its natural form, which says everything about her skill. After a decade of mostly cutting my own hair, I’ve already rebooked with Ryan and plan to keep seeing her as long as she’s there. I truly cannot recommend her enough. On a final note, the salon and its staff were just as lovely as the service itself. The space feels genuinely welcoming, from the beverages in the waiting area to the kindness of the staff. During a particularly busy moment, when I asked where the best restroom to use was, a staff member actually walked me there herself and was so gracious about it. It’s those small, thoughtful moments that really stood out. I had an all-around stellar experience at Gene Juarez Salon, and I’m truly looking forward to going back.

I haven't been to a salon in ages. 1st time in years & 1st time at Gene Juarez Salon. Veronica L did an amazing job. I asked her with my type of hair texture and face what would she suggest. (As long as its not a Rachel haircut) because I still wanted layers but not chunky. I also asked for a Kerastase Treatment and wow! Made my hair so soft, silky and super shiny. Came out of the salon feeling amazing. Highly recommend Veronica L at Gene Juarez!

Today I had an excellent experience with the stylist Gillian at the Lynnwood Gene Juarez salon. My Google photo shows what my hair used to look like a few years ago- naturally curly hair in longish layered ringlets. Well, I am a few years older now and in the past year have recovered from a serious heath problem that affected my hair health, density, and texture. My hair had actually lost its curl and become thin and lanky. I had about six inches of bed growth with renewed density, curl, and luster but wasn’t ready to cut off all of length of the older hair yet. Gillian really listened to my concerns, make great suggestions, and was able to give me a haircut and then style it with products that helped to blend the new healthy growth without losing too much length. The end result is that when I came home and showed off my haircut to my husband, he told me how happy he was to see my hair with some of my curl back, looking healthy, feeling soft and pretty (without sacrificing too much length). Thank you Gillian! 🙏🏆💇😃

This was my fourth haircut, and yesterday was the third one. I honestly didn’t feel great about it because I felt the stylist and I just didn’t click. I’m not a picky person at all—I usually style my hair easily and can make most haircuts work. But yesterday’s experience really left me feeling disappointed. The reason I didn’t specifically request Lilia was because I couldn’t remember her name when I booked. My first and second cuts had both met my expectations, so I assumed anyone would do just as well. I came back, and Selena took so much care and really did a great job fixing it. I’m so grateful for that. When I come back again, I’d definitely want to have my hair done by either Selena or Lilia.
